Andrew Harbaugh Announces Run for PA 63rd

Andrew Harbaugh, Councilmember-Elect of Clarion Borough, and a member of the Clarion County Democratic Committee, announced today that he is running for Pennsylvania’s 63rd State House District. Harbaugh is running to battle the affordability crisis that is being passed down to his community, bring stability to rural healthcare, and ensure that schools have the proper funding they deserve. If elected, Harbaugh will work to: Give people living wages and fight the rise in utilities brought on by data centers Fund healthcare properly and help to address the instability that rural healthcare is facing Get schools funded the way they should and can be Day to day, Harbaugh covers the NFL and has worked in various aspects of sports media. He worked as a freelancer for years before landing a full-time role in the space. The hard work that landed him his dream is going to be channeled into helping the residents put an end to the deception and nonsense that has been passed down to them. Harbaugh moved to Clarion after high school when he attended Clarion University (now named Penn West Clarion). There he met his wife, and they now have two children. His family is paramount to his motivation to run for this seat, as he does not want other families to face the same hardship as his family has had to deal with recently on various fronts. “I am tired of surviving when we should be thriving. We need someone who will fight for what we deserve and should have, and I will be that person for my community.” Harbaugh is eager to meet with members of his community to discuss the complex issues facing them and their families. His campaign kicks off on December 5. The 63rd House District of Pennsylvania includes communities such as Clarion, Knox, Foxburg, Limestone, Redbank, Shippenville, Rimersburg, New Bethlehem, Dayton, and Kittaning, to name a few.
